ABOUT

Cédric Eyma is a photographer and filmmaker based near Bordeaux, France.

He shoots from the bank and from the water. More often from the bank, since that is usually where the frame is — the point of being able to work in whitewater is that it decides which positions are reachable at all.

Since 2025 he has been the production partner of Éric Deguil, five-time extreme kayak world champion. He works across whole seasons rather than single shoots: the van, the warm-up, the minutes before a start, and the years between descents. He is currently directing Chaos de Calypso, a short documentary on the first descent of a Pyrenean gorge closed by a rockslide in 2013, and preparing a one-month Class V expedition in Meghalaya, India, in October 2027.

He also photographs slalom at international level. Images made before the Paris 2024 Games circulated widely in the sports press.

He produces through Dipper, a French non-profit structure.
